top three hip hop songs on the radio now:

1. kryptonite (i'm on it) - purple ribbon allstars feat. big boi
-which features vocal tweaking a-la spank rock ("i-i-i-i-i be on dat kryptonite!")

2. ms. new booty - bubba sparxxx feat. ying yang twins
-bubba's raps suck, but the beat & the hook make you forget that

3. lean wit it, rock wit it - dem franchize boyz feat. peanut & charlay
-the thinking man's "laffy taffy". actually features the line "suck a cock wit it."

okay, so i signed up for netflix last sunday. they shipped my first movie last tuesday, which was supposed to arrive around friday. it's now monday of the following week and it still has not arrived! in this time peter has apparently been able to return a movie and receive its replacement. bullshit! i want my damn movie!

i reported it as missing, so they're probably going to think i stole it or something. now i've gotta wait at least another 3 days before i get my next movie, and i still haven't gotten even one! hell, my free trial will be almost up by then, too. this sucks.

the first issue of killerpop.com's "what's up in orlando?" is finally up! well, two stories, that is.. but the rest are coming soon!

go to killerpop.com/whatup to read it for yourself. so far there's a story about a toy line release party at uberbot in winterpark (feb. 2) and an interview with dj delmar of backbooth fame (he talks about his new tuesday night parties at southern nights w/ dj smilin' dan of ibar).

what else is coming in february? an interview with yip yip is on the way, as is one with winter park artist famous aaron, and also a recipe for valentine's day.

OMG magazine journalists read my mind!

my animation professor from last semester gave jake & i an article from the january '05 issue of TIME magazine about something they call "twixters" (basically people from 18-28 in our generation who seem to grow up slower than previous generations) and it's quite good. it basically sums up my opinion about life for the next 10 years. i thought i was just a weirdo, but it turns out most people in our generation are. if you can find it online you should read it.

less importantly, in this month's URB magazine there's a cover story on lady sovereign and a little blurb on spank rock. coincidentally, these are the two artists i would have put atop my "watch these bastards closely in '06" list, had i written one. last year i said go! team & MIA. this year it's sov & spank rock. there was also a blurb on lupe fiasco, whose guest spot on kanye's sophomore album is easily my favorite bit of lyrics on the whole album (next to cam'ron's "knock knock - who's there? - killa cam - killa who?"), but to be fair i don't know enough about lupe to put him on my list, although i am hoping his debut album is going to kill.

come on down to my apartment this saturday for what will prove to be both a continental celebration of art and cuisine and a trashy romp through the dirtiest clubs of miami and new york.

there will be:

-delicious food for early partiers
-art on display and for sale (pretty cheap)
-original animations blazing on 3 screens
-imported party beats
-and so much more!!!

get your ass to mars with the pegasus pointe party patrol this new year's eve! message me or call 813 541 3714 for directions to my apartment! show up at 10 to party or 9 to set up art.

who wants to be my damn REPORTER?

here's what's up: i want to make the "what's up in orlando?" section of killerPOP into a sort of monthly online zine chronicling what sucks and what rules in orlando. think of something that sucks or is cool that more people should know about. for example: ibar has been playing the same shit for 2 years. that would be a good story. i think i'm gonna write about graffiti on the ucf campus, but i may write about something else. anyway, think of something, write a short story on it, take one or two photos, and send 'em to me. i want to post 4 or 5 stories a month.

hey orlando! guess what! i'm in the middle of re-hauling KILLERPOP.COM in a major way. i bought a year of hosting and i'm going to try to push killerpop.com more towards the pop culture powerhouse i've been envisioning. it's obviously not quite done yet (not all the links work, and i need to move some pages from my free host to my new host), but it'll house johnnie angel + the saturday saints (music), momo & friends (comics), kp graffiti (paintings) and a section called "what's up in orlando" where we can discuss what's cool and what sucks at any given time. if anyone wants to contribute, let me know your ideas for the site. any other music, art, comics, whatever might have a place on killerpop.
